The Law of Attraction and Your Health

Health and the Law of Attraction play an important part of our life. You can have a lot of money, a sweet lover, abundance of delicious food and loving family. However, if you don’t have a good health, you are not going to enjoy all these at all.

Imagine if you are now lying on the patient bed with all those “wires” plugged onto your body. You can have a lot of money but you can not spend the money you have earned. You can smell those delicious foods but you can not consume them. You can have a great lover but you see them worrying for you and feeling sad all the time. You can have a loving and caring family but you just not able to spend quality time with them.

So, I guess that’s pretty much enough to stress the important of health in our life. The good news is that, no condition or situation is permanent. We can change all these by applying the Law of Attraction into our life.

First of all, we need to really know what we want. Obviously, we want a good health in this case. However, that is not specific. We need to define what good health means to us is. This is a very subjective statement as good health is defined differently by different person.

For instant, you can wish for, “I want to be able to walk, run and jump without those pains again. I want to go back to my 30s where I could do all those activities easily without having back pains. My teeth are so strong and healthy that I can chew anything I want without feeling the pain. The more I eat, the healthier I become. The cholesterol just come out from my body because my body is not a suitable place for the cholesterol. I am no different than the strong young man I met in the gym in terms of health …”

After you have have defined what kind of health you really want, visualize it. Picture yourself living a healthy life. Don’t dwell in your pain. Forget about the current discomfort. Look into the future. Live your life as you have already gained the health you have always wanted.

See yourself playing with kids in the playground. Challenge some young men for a race. See yourself fighting your way to the finish line. See the sweat sprinkle away from your body, from your hair. Yes, you have reached the finish line and you’re 2 seconds before those young men. You have just beat them all. They can’t believe it. Their jaws drop in amazement.

Your whole body is sweating, you feel healthy and energetic. You feel hungry too. Your loved one hands over a towel to you with a sweet smile. You reply his/her smile and say, “Thank you”. After that, you go to one of the restaurant which serves the best food.

You ordered a chicken steak because you don’t have any problem chewing it with your strong teeth and you are so fit that you can totally ignore the cholesterol, obesity, high blood pressure and all the rubbish medical terms. Those words never exist in your dictionary.

As you visualize this, feel the joy. Feel the fun. Feel the life. Live in it. If you keep on thinking of healthy happy life, that’s what you are going to attract. The universe will rearrange itself to give you the health and happiness you wish for.

The Law of Attraction and Your Weight

So how is it that the Law of Attraction can help you to lose weight? Simple – you just need to think about it! Sounds easy enough, right?

Well, it actually is just that easy, but an explanation of exactly how you are supposed to "think" will help you to understand this process better. You can then take that knowledge and use it to help you with your weight loss or fitness goals.

Earlier I said that the Law of Attraction has been working for all life since the beginning of time, which begs the question, "Then why haven’t I lost any weight yet?". In fact, that same question could be asked about pretty much any other goal that anyone has ever had. If all we have to do is think about something in order to bring it into our lives, then why aren’t we all rich, perfectly healthy, and living happily ever after?

The simple answer is that most people – without even knowing it – don’t really think about what they want. They think about the fact that they DON’T have it. Now, if you’ll go back briefly to the definition of the Law of Attraction – like attracts like – then you will see that the reason why people don’t have the things that they want is because all they ever do is think about NOT having those things.

This same concept applies to weight loss and health just as efficiently as it applies to everything else. A lot of people want to lose weight, but rather than think about how wonderful their life will be once they have lost the weight, they instead think about how miserable they are because they HAVEN’T lost the weight!

Think about it. If you need to lose weight, which of the following statements describes your thoughts/feelings when you walk in front of a mirror without any clothes on:

A) I am so sexy since I have my weight under control, and I have an unlimited amount of confidence. I can date anyone that I please and my biggest problem is deciding which little tiny piece of clothing to wear to the beach or the swimming pool.

B) I am so FAT! I can’t even stand to look at myself in the mirror, so how can I expect anyone else to want to look at me? I’ll be lucky if I don’t have to take my clothing size up another notch or two at the rate I’m going.

Now, be honest. Which one of those statements do you think comes closer to the way that people who need to lose weight think of themselves?

Once again referring back to the Law of Attraction – If you think miserable, sad, guilty, or low self-esteem powered thoughts, then the Law of Attraction will dutifully bring you more things to be miserable about. In fact, the more miserable you are about any particular subject – say, weight loss – the more powerfully you will attract more of the same since that is your primary focus.

So, the answer to utilizing the power of the Law of Attraction for weight loss is to simply stop thinking about your situation in such a negative manner! Start thinking positive thoughts, confident thoughts, and thoughts of happiness, smaller clothing sizes, and showing more skin at the beach.

When you successfully do those things, the Law of Attraction will start to move around the chess pieces that affect your life, and before you know it, you will have whatever it is that you need in order to finally get in shape.

It may come in the form of a free gym membership, a workout partner, a piece of home exercise equipment that you actually want to use, a new motivation to get involved in some sort of physical activity, or any number of other things that will put you on the path to weight loss.

Here’s the rub, though – You can’t sit around and get hung up on the details. Mike Dooley said it best in the movie ‘The Secret’ – "The How’s are the domain of the Universe!

"You don’t need to worry about HOW it is going to happen, you just have to feel the positive, confident emotions that will MAKE it happen. The Universe will then step in and show you the path!

The Law of Attraction (LofA) is one the most know universal laws. There are many different views on how many governing laws that actually exist in the universe, but many agree that the The LofA is one of them. It is probably the most known law and it means: like attracts like. Several books have been written on the topic of the LofA and a search for this law on Google will get you millions of hits. In comparison a search for the "Law of Vibrations" or any other universal law isn«t even close. The LofA is by far the most known law of all the universal laws.

The LofA became almost a household name after the release of The Secret in 2006. It was widely marketing and it was picked up by the media. But now there is new movie coming out that will also explain more about the other governing laws of the universe. The movie Beyond The Secret features Emmy award-winner Les Brown, Bob Proctor, Marcia Wieder, Paul Martinelli and many other great motivational teachers, authors and visionaries on the topic of how you can get what you want in life by gaining a deeper understanding of the universe. The Secret was just the tip of the iceberg.

Back in 1986 Esther and her husband Jerry Hicks came into contact with non-physical entities called Abraham. Abraham is a group of evolved teachers from "the other side" - non-physical entites and they speak through Esther. Esther and Jerry has published a lot of books, DVD, articles etc. about the information received through Esther from Abraham. This is referred to as the teaching of Abraham or the Abraham-Hicks teaching.

So what is the Law of Attraction?

The Law of Attraction insists that all things similar in nature will naturally gravitate to one another and magnetise one another into their own field. This applies to all things in the Universe; it also applies to thought. Thought is energy and it is magnetic to those things with a similar vibration.

Like attracts like - so in a nutshell you attract what you think about and what you feel strongly about. However after the book and movie The Secret came out scientists disputed that the Law of Attraction works - they said that like does not attract like. If you take two positive magnets toward each other they will actually repel - not attract.

In order to understand this Law its important to first understand The Law of Vibration which states that everything in the universe vibrates. Everything is made up of energy and everything has its own vibrational freqency. If you want to attract something you need to be at the same vibrational frequency as what you want - The Law of Resonance states that anything that is on the same vibrational frequency makes itself known to each other. They vibrate on the same frequency. When we send out signals on a certain frequency through are thoughst and emotions the universe respond to us with anything and everything that resonates with that frequency.

Hence we should learn to resonate with what we want instead of resonating with what we are doubtful of, fearful of and so on.

When we do that our thoughts and emotions will become things.

You reap what you sow.

One of the most successful actors in recent years is Will Smith. In this videoclip he shares with us his belief in the power we all have and that we really can make what we want. He believes that you can create whatever you want to create - which is the essence of the Law of Attraction:

In this videoclip on the Larry King show - Oprah share how she got a part in the movie The Color Purple and it was all about how she was thinking, feeling and drawing it into her life by using the Law of Attraction - by putting all her emotions behind it. She used the formula thought + emotions = attraction to get what she wanted

We have to be aware of our thoughts - so my task is to be one with my soul, my inner self and thus the Source and can only be that by knowing that every thought I think makes an impact in this universe. It is a ripple in this ocean of energy.

Definitions and Clarifications about the Law of Attraction and How it Manifests:

This law is a manifestation of the creative power of the Universe.
It is through this law that everything is created: galaxies, planets, metals, rocks and even plants, animals and people.
Like attracts like.
Thoughts attract corresponding situations and circumstances.
You get what you think about.
You attract into your life whatever you focus on.
Positive thoughts attract positive events. Negative thoughts attract negative events.
If you entertain feelings and thoughts about hardships and obstacles, then this is what you get.

It is not enough just to wish for something, you need strong desire and faith to manifest what you want.

What is kabbalah?

Some say kabbalah is the user's manual for reality. The word Kabbalah comes from the Hebrew word lekabbel, to receive. It describes the motives of actions as Òthe desire to receive.Ó Hence it seeks to define the nature of the universe and the human being.It seeks to define the nature and purpose of existence.

THE KABBALAH CENTRE - founded in Jerusalem in 1922, say this about the

Kabbalistic teachings:

It is the worlds oldest body of spiritual wisdom - it contains the long-hidden keys to the secrets of the universe as well as the keys to the mysteries of the human heart and soul. Kabbalistic teachings explain the complexities of the material and the nonmaterial universe, as well as the physical and metaphysical nature of all humanity. Bnei Baruch -the largest group of Kabbalists in Israel and also a movement of many thousands of students worldwide also explain it in a similar fashion: an accurate method to investigate and define mans position in the universe. The wisdom of the Kabbalistic teachings tells us the reason why man exists, why he is born, why he lives, what the purpose of his life is, where he comes from and where he is going after he completes his life in this world.

Every human being is a work in progress

The Kabbalistic teachings say that every human being is a work in progress. Any pain, disappointment, or chaos that exists in our lives is not because this is how life is meant to be, but only because we have not yet finished the work that brought us here.That work, quite simply, is the process of freeing ourselves from the domination of the human ego and creating an affinity with the sharing essence of God.

People who hear about The Kabbalah teachings think it is a Jewish discipline - a school of thought discussing the mystical aspect of Judaism.The word is a Jeweish word meaning "receiving" so it is understandable that one would think this. However according to the the Kaballah Center: Many scholars of Kabbalah have been non-Jewish scholars of this wisdom, such as Christian Knorr-von-Rosenroth, Pico Della and Sir Isaac Newton, just to name a few.

The startling truth is that Kabbalah was never meant for a specific sect. Rather, it was intended to be used by all humanity to unify the world.

Kabbalistic understanding of God

In Kabbalah every idea grows from the foundation of God,and the entire study is based on that central belief. The statement by Maimonides, from the Mishneh Torah is accepted by all traditional Kabbalists:
“
The foundation of all foundations, and the pillar of all wisdom is to know that there is God who brought into being all existence. All the beings of the heavens, and the earth, and what is between them came into existence only from the truth of God's being.
”

Kabbalah teaches that God is neither matter nor spirit. Rather God is the creator of both.
This question, "what is the nature of God?", prompted Kabbalists to envision two aspects of God, (a) God himself, who in the end is unknowable, and (b) the revealed aspect of God that created the universe, preserves the universe, and interacts with mankind. Kabbalists speak of the first aspect of God as Ein Sof (אין סוף); this is translated as "the infinite", "endless", or "that which has no limits". In this view, nothing can be said about this aspect of God. This aspect of God is impersonal. The second aspect of divine emanations, however, is at least partially accessible to human thought. Kabbalists believe that these two aspects are not contradictory but, through the mechanism of progressive emanation, complement one another. See Divine simplicity; Tzimtzum. The structure of these emanations have been characterized in various ways: Four "worlds" (Azilut, Yitzirah, Beriyah, and Asiyah), Sefirot, or Partzufim ("faces"). Later systems harmonize these models.
Some Kabbalistic scholars, such as Moses ben Jacob Cordovero, believe that all things are linked to God through these emanations, making us all part of one great chain of being. Others, such as Schneur Zalman of Liadi (founder of Lubavitch [Chabad] Hasidism), hold that God is all that really exists; all else is completely undifferentiated from God's perspective.
Such views can be defined as monistic panentheism. According to this philosophy, God's existence is higher than anything that this world can express, yet he includes all things of this world down to the finest detail in such a perfect unity that his creation of the world effected no change in him whatsoever. This paradox is dealt with at length in Chabad Chassidic texts.

Life after Life

Is there a life after death?

What actually happens when we die? Are we gone forever or do we go to a beautiful, peaceful place many call heaven or do we get reborn to go through yet another lifetime on this planet?

Is energy always flowing and do we as a result just transform to another energy form on another level regardless of religion or belief? If we are all Energy and energy never dies - then it seems logically that this energy just changes form and shape.

The Original Source that some people refer to as God was all that there was; there was nothing else. Now that presented a problem.

This Infinite Being knew itself to be all powerful and infinite, but without something to compare itself against, so to speak, there was no way of experiencing that infinity and power. It live in a realm of absolute, where comparison, and therefore experience, is impossible, for you need something to experience against for experience to occur. So It possessed Knowing, but needed Experience to complete Being.

The solution was therefore to individuate itself into seemingly separate life-forms so that each of these life forms could experience itself in relation to the others. Hence the world of relativity and experience was born out of that desire to know itself. When people say 'God is everywhere', that statement has more literal meaning than they imagine. Literally, everything is an extension of that Original Force, an expression of an aspect of It All. It creates by extending itself, ensuring that all creation is in the image and likeness of itself. And this is where the universal laws come in.

Now you see that the primary purpose of creation was for Life to experience Itself, for You to experience Yourself. If you watch the cycle of creation closely, you will notice that it follows this birth-life-death cycle: From the unified non-physical, to the individuated non-physical, to the individuated physical, to the individuated non-physical, to the unified non-physical. Through this process, a Being comes to know Itself by materializing knowingness (thought),then experiencing that thought and its effect, then testing, choosing and converting that knowing from experience into being. For example, if you have never experienced happiness and I told you that being happy feels great, you would know in your mind what I mean, conceptually, but you wouldn’t really complete that knowledge without first experiencing happiness and becoming happy.

The Creator had to ensure that this cycle completes itself automatically and serves each purpose, without ever making a mistake. In other words, the laws (meaning universal laws) were built to

(1) glue the system together through all those transitions and

(2) ensure that the knowing-experiencing-being system of evolution, growth and learning works perfectly with predictable results so that all Its Children of all forms may get to grow and Know Themselves as extensions of the Original without fail, no matter how long it took, and to do so within a system of free will.

If this cycle of creation is the real deal we are all reborn -reincarnated - to gain experience after experience on earth or somewhere else in the universe in order to develop the soul - the individuated non-physical being.

If this birth-life-death cycle exists as David Cameron says, then it would mean that our human bodies cease to exist, but the soul or energy within us never dies. It is merely transformed to a individuated non-physical being which then again joins the unified non-physical.

The unified non-physical is often being referred to as The All -The Everything - The Source - The Unified field - The universal Mind - The Universal Consciousness or God.

If everyone on Earth is here to learn more - to experience more and to develop this knowing-experiencing-being system of evolution, growth and learning why are then so many humans selfish and egocentric?

Why are we creating wars, killing people, torturing people, experiencing crimes and suffering by the millions worldwide?

why is that?

The answer might be that the ego in us has taken over. We are all born with free will. According to Michael Newton and his research we learn that we the soul enters into the human body just before birth and become a part of that human being.

When we are born, we are still very connected to great spiritual wisdom and power through our core. This connection to our core and therefore to spiritual wisdom and power gives the feeling of complete safety and wonder. During the maturation process, this connection fades. It is replaced by parental voices intended to protect us and make us safe. They speak of right and wrong, of good and bad, how to make decisions, and how to act or react in any given situation. As the connection to the core fades, our child psyche tries desperately to replace the original innate wisdom with a functioning ego. Unfortunately, the overlay or internalized parental voices can never really do the job. Instead, what is produced is a mask self.

This ego she talks about is within all of us - an ego that only wants to survive. If this ego is allowed to blend the soul and be totally "in charge" the soul will not develop.

Brennan goes on to say: The mask never succeeds in producing the internal feeling of safety for which we strive. In fact, it produces the internal feeling of an impostor because we are trying to prove we are good, and we aren’t good all the time....

From the perspective of our mask, pain and anger exist only outside the personality. We don«t take any responsibility. Anything negative that happens must be somebody else«s fault. We blame them.

So the human body contains both the ego and the soul - hence these 3 "parts" make up what is

YOU
Human body + ego + soul = YOU

In the knowing-experiencing-being system of evolution, growth and learning the soul needs to develop to get closer to the original source: The All - The Everything - The Source - The Unified field - The universal Mind - The Universal Consciousness - God

According to the book A course in Miracles the ego in us wants to stay separated from that development and do not want to be part of the source or God.

So, in order for the soul in us to develop we need to remove the ego that we all carry with us. Remove hate, remove jealousy, remove envy, and remove anger, bitterness and so on. Start to forgive as many great people and souls have done in the past - Indira Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Jesus etc. They had great soul development. They removed their ego.

In the book The Art of Happiness by Howard C Cutlers - Dalai Lama describes how we can deal with hatred and anger in order to be a better and happier person. If in a certain situation someone has made you really angry and this feeling of anger and sometimes hate comes to surface whenever you think of that episode how are we to react? How can we let go of this ego feeling of anger?

Dalai Lama say: If you look at it from a different angel that person will for sure also have positive and good sides. When we are mad at someone we tend to only associate that person with negative qualities, while in fact there is something good in us all. Dalai Lama goes on to say: When you fall in love with someone you tend to only see the positive sides of that person, but if your loved one hurt you with purpose you would suddenly realize that the person did not have only positive qualities. If your enemy - the one you hate - would sincerely ask for your forgiveness and start treating you with kindness and respect you would probably not see him as pure evil or bad.

All of us have positive and good qualities. People you dislike or feel bad about today have good qualities - we just need to look hard enough and we will find them. Hence let go of the ego and all the negative feelings associated with the ego and your soul will develop and advance on its journey back to the Source.

YOU - ego = soul development

This would mean that a human body with a soul and no ego would ensure soul development i.e.

Human body + soul = soul development

Leave out the ego to advance as a soul and become a better you.

A better YOU and ME would also serve the rest of the world and the entire universe since positive energies and thoughts would radiate out from us all the time. A better YOU and ME creates ripples and make a difference in this worldWe would be able to stop wars and crimes and suffering since people would stop their selfish behavior and hence shift their vibrational state that would benefit everyone.

Life and death

Some relgions believe we only live on this planet once and after one lifetime we will be judged and either sent to heaven or to hell based on how we acted and behaved as human beings during our lifetime. Other religions believe we reincarnate and that karma plays a vital role. If you are a bad person in this life you will suffer the consequences in the next life.

The Law of Karma

This is a universal law and it is the Law of Cause and Effect. It states that Every action or thought has an effect or consequence. The nature of that effect depends upon the nature of the cause. If the cause is "good", the effect will be "good". If the cause comes from negative thoughts or evil, the results will be equally negative or evil. We reap what we sow. It is like a boomerang. If you throw out a boomerang with negative thougts and actions it will catch up with you and make you experience similar negative actions - either in this lifetime or the next life.

Science is now showing that everything in this universe vibrates and is made up of energy but at different vibrational frequency. You, me, everything in our lives vibrates and is energy. Science is also showing that we might live in a mulitverse - not a universe. If everything is energy and if our energy does not die, but simply transform to another form what happens when our human bodies die?

3) TEXT BECOME UNREADABLE IN NOTEPAD

Hide Hard Drive Partitions In Windows

Diskpart will remove the letter. Since Windows XP doesn't have the capability to identify the unknown volume, it won't display or show results from it.

To access the content of the hidden drive, repeat the process, but in the foruth step, replace remove to assign, ie., assign letter E.

Increase Connection Limits in Internet Explorer 8

The number of files that you can download simultaneously in Internet Explorer 7 or earlier versions is limited to 2 by default.

When Internet Explorer 8 is released, this limitation has been increased to 6. 4. Double click the registry file, continue with UAC prompt and click OK to confirm you wish to perform the action.

Once you have completed the above steps, you should be able to download 10 files simultaneously by using Internet Explorer 8.

10 reasons why PCs crash you must Know

Fatal error: the system has become unstable or is busy," it says. "Enter to return to Windows or press Control-Alt-Delete to restart your computer. If you do this you will lose any unsaved information in all open applications."You have just been struck by the Blue Screen of Death. Anyone who uses Mcft Windows will be familiar with this. What can you do? More importantly, how can you prevent it happening?

1 Hardware conflict The number one reason why Windows crashes is hardware conflict. Each hardware device communicates to other devices through an interrupt request channel (IRQ). These are supposed to be unique for each device.For example, a printer usually connects internally on IRQ 7. The keyboard usually uses IRQ 1 and the floppy disk drive IRQ 6. Each device will try to hog a single IRQ for itself.If there are a lot of devices, or if they are not installed properly, two of them may end up sharing the same IRQ number. When the user tries to use both devices at the same time, a crash can happen. The way to check if your computer has a hardware conflict is through the following route:* Start-Settings-Control Panel-System-Device Manager.Often if a device has a problem a yellow '!' appears next to its description in the Device Manager. Highlight Computer (in the Device Manager) and press Properties to see the IRQ numbers used by your computer. If the IRQ number appears twice, two devices may be using it.Sometimes a device might share an IRQ with something described as 'IRQ holder for PCI steering'. This can be ignored. The best way to fix this problem is to remove the problem device and reinstall it.Sometimes you may have to find more recent drivers on the internet to make the device function properly. A good resource is www.driverguide.com. If the device is a soundcard, or a modem, it can often be fixed by moving it to a different slot on the motherboard (be careful about opening your computer, as you may void the warranty).When working inside a computer you should switch it off, unplug the mains lead and touch an unpainted metal surface to discharge any static electricity.To be fair to Mcft, the problem with IRQ numbers is not of its making. 2 Bad RamRam (random-access memory) problems might bring on the blue screen of death with a message saying Fatal Exception Error. A fatal error indicates a serious hardware problem. Sometimes it may mean a part is damaged and will need replacing.But a fatal error caused by Ram might be caused by a mismatch of chips. For example, mixing 70-nanosecond (70ns) Ram with 60ns Ram will usually force the computer to run all the Ram at the slower speed. This will often crash the machine if the Ram is overworked.One way around this problem is to enter the BIOS settings and increase the wait state of the Ram. This can make it more stable. Another way to troubleshoot a suspected Ram problem is to rearrange the Ram chips on the motherboard, or take some of them out. Then try to repeat the circumstances that caused the crash. When handling Ram try not to touch the gold connections, as they can be easily damaged.Parity error messages also refer to Ram. Modern Ram chips are either parity (ECC) or non parity (non-ECC). It is best not to mix the two types, as this can be a cause of trouble.EMM386 error messages refer to memory problems but may not be connected to bad Ram. This may be due to free memory problems often linked to old Dos-based programmes.

3 BIOS settings Every motherboard is supplied with a range of chipset settings that are decided in the factory. A common way to access these settings is to press the F2 or delete button during the first few seconds of a boot-up.Once inside the BIOS, great care should be taken. It is a good idea to write down on a piece of paper all the settings that appear on the screen. That way, if you change something and the computer becomes more unstable, you will know what settings to revert to.A common BIOS error concerns the CAS latency. This refers to the Ram. Older EDO (extended data out) Ram has a CAS latency of 3. Newer SDRam has a CAS latency of 2. Setting the wrong figure can cause the Ram to lock up and freeze the computer's display.Mcft Windows is better at allocating IRQ numbers than any BIOS. If possible set the IRQ numbers to Auto in the BIOS. This will allow Windows to allocate the IRQ numbers (make sure the BIOS setting for Plug and Play OS is switched to 'yes' to allow Windows to do this.).

4 Hard disk drives After a few weeks, the information on a hard disk drive starts to become piecemeal or fragmented. It is a good idea to defragment the hard disk every week or so, to prevent the disk from causing a screen freeze. Go to* Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Disk DefragmenterThis will start the procedure. You will be unable to write data to the hard drive (to save it) while the disk is defragmenting, so it is a good idea to schedule the procedure for a period of inactivity using the Task Scheduler.The Task Scheduler should be one of the small icons on the bottom right of the Windows opening page (the desktop).Some lockups and screen freezes caused by hard disk problems can be solved by reducing the read-ahead optimisation. This can be adjusted by going to* Start-Settings-Control Panel-System Icon-Performance-File System-Hard Disk.Hard disks will slow down and crash if they are too full. Do some housekeeping on your hard drive every few months and free some space on it. Open the Windows folder on the C drive and find the Temporary Internet Files folder. Deleting the contents (not the folder) can free a lot of space.Empty the Recycle Bin every week to free more space. Hard disk drives should be scanned every week for errors or bad sectors. Go to* Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools-ScanDiskOtherwise assign the Task Scheduler to perform this operation at night when the computer is not in use.

5 Fatal OE exceptions and VXD errors Fatal OE exception errors and VXD errors are often caused by video card problems.These can often be resolved easily by reducing the resolution of the video display. Go to* Start-Settings-Control Panel-Display-SettingsHere you should slide the screen area bar to the left. Take a look at the colour settings on the left of that window. For most desktops, high colour 16-bit depth is adequate.If the screen freezes or you experience system lockups it might be due to the video card. Make sure it does not have a hardware conflict. Go to* Start-Settings-Control Panel-System-Device ManagerHere, select the + beside Display Adapter. A line of text describing your video card should appear. Select it (make it blue) and press properties. Then select Resources and select each line in the window. Look for a message that says No Conflicts.If you have video card hardware conflict, you will see it here. Be careful at this point and make a note of everything you do in case you make things worse.The way to resolve a hardware conflict is to uncheck the Use Automatic Settings box and hit the Change Settings button. One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I sawa kid from my class was walking home from school. Hisname was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of hisbooks. I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bringhome all his books on a Friday? He must really be anerd.

"I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a footballgame with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so Ishrugged my shoulders and went on.

As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running towardhim. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of hisarms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasseswent flying, and I saw them land in the grass about tenfeet from him. He looked up and I saw this terriblesadness in his eyes.

My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him andas he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I sawa tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said,"Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives." He lookedat me and said, "Hey thanks!" There was a big smile on his face.

It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.

I helped him pick up his books, and asked him wherehe lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked himwhy I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to privateschool before now.

I would have never hung out with a private school kidbefore. We talked all the way home, and I carried someof his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. Iasked him if he wanted to play a little football with myfriends. He said yes. We hung out all weekend and themore I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and myfriends thought the same of him.

Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with thehuge stack of books again. I stopped him and said,"Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscleswith this pile of books everyday!" He just laughed andhanded me half the books.

Over the next four years, Kyle and I became bestfriends. When we were seniors, we began to thinkabout college. Kyle decided on Georgetown, and Iwas going to Duke. I knew that we would always befriends, that the miles would never be a problem. Hewas going to be a doctor, and I was going for businesson a football scholarship.

Kyle was valedictorian of our class. I teased him all thetime about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speech forgraduation.

I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there andspeak. Graduation day, I saw Kyle. He looked great. Hewas one of those guys that really found himself during highschool. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses.He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him.Boy, sometimes I was jealous.

Today was one of those days. I could see that he wasnervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the backand said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!" He looked at mewith one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled."Thanks," he said.

As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, andbegan. "Graduation is a time to thank those who helpedyou make it through those tough years. Your parents,your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach...but mostlyyour friends. I am here to tell all of you that being afriend to someone is the best gift you can give them. Iam going to tell you a story.

"I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told thestory of the first day we met. He had planned to killhimself over the weekend. He talked of how he hadcleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to doit later and was carrying his stuff home.

He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile.

"Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me fromdoing the unspeakable."

I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popularboy told us all about his weakest moment.

I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that samegrateful smile. Not until that moment did I realize it's depth.

Never underestimate the power of your actions. Withone small gesture you can change a person's life. Forbetter or for worse.

God puts us all in each other's lives to impact one anotherin some way.

I heard Daddy yelling back.

I was sad, and hoped you would be better soon.

I wondered why you cried so much.

One day you cried almost all of the day.

I hurt for you.

I couldn't imagine why you were so unhappy.

That same day, the most horrible thing happened.

A very mean monster came

into that warm, comfortable lace I was in.

I was so scared, I began screaming,

but there was no sound.

I guess they had you all pinned down

because you never once tried to help me.

Maybe you never heard me.

The monster got closer and closer

as I was screaming and screaming,

"Mommy, Mommy, help me, please; Mommy, help me.

"Complete terror is all I felt.

I screamed and screamed

until I thought I couldn't anymore.

Then the monster started ripping my arm off.

It hurt so bad; the pain I can never explain.

It didn't stop.

Oh, how I begged it to stop.

I screamed in horror as it ripped my leg off.

Though I was in such complete pain,

I realize I was dying.

I knew I would never see your face,

or hear you say how much you love me.

I wanted to make all your tears go away.

I had so many plans to make you happy.

Now, I couldn't; all my dreams were shattered.

Though I was in utter pain and horror,

I felt the pain of my heart breaking, above all.

I wanted more than anything; to be your daughter.

No use now, for I was dying a painful death.

I could only imagine that terrible things

they had done to me.

I wanted to tell you that I love you before I was gone,

but I didn't know the words you could understand.

And soon no longer I had the breath to say them;

I was dead.

I felt myself rising.

I was being carried by a huge angle

into a big, beautiful palace.

I was still crying, but the physical pain was gone.

The angle took me to GOD and set me on His lap.

He said that He loved me, and He was my Father.

Then I was happy.

I asked Him what the thing was that killed me.

He answered, "Abortion. I am sorry, my child;

for I know how it feels.

"I don't know what abortion is;

I guess that's the name of the monster.

I'm writing to say that I love you,

and to tell you how much I wanted to be your little girl.

I'd tried very hard to live.

I wanted to live.

I had the will, but I couldn't;

the monster was too powerful.

It sucked my arms and legs off and finally got all of me.

It was impossible to live.

I just wanted you to know how I tried to stay with you.

When you feel down because you didn't get what you want, just sit tight and be happy, because God is thinking of something better to give you.

When something happens to you, good or bad, consider what it means. There's a purpose to life's events, to teach you how to laugh more or not to cry too hard.

You can't make someone love you, all you can do is be someone who can be loved, the rest is up to the person to realize your worth.

The measure of love is when you love without measure. In life there are very rare chances that you'll meet the person you love and loves you in return. So once you have it don't ever let go, the chance might never come your way again.

It's better to lose your pride to the one you love, than to lose the one you love because of pride.

We spend too much time looking for the right person to love or finding fault with those we already love, when instead we should be perfecting the love we give.When you truly care for someone, you don't look for faults, you don't look for answers, you don't look for mistakes. Instead, you fight the mistakes, you accept the faults, and you overlook the excuses.

Never abandon an old friend. You will never find one who can take his place. Friendship is like wine, it gets better as it grows older.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

Jerry is the manager of a restaurant in America. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would always reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!

"Many of the waiters at his restaurant quit their jobs when he changed jobs so they could follow him around from restaurant to restaurant. The reason the waiters followed Jerry was because of his attitude. He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Jerry was always there, telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.

Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to Jerry and asked him, "I don't get it! No one can be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?"Jerry replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, I have two choices today. I can choose to be in a good mood or I can choose to be in a bad mood I always choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or I can choose to learn from it. I always choose to learn from it. Everytime someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I always choose the positive side of life."

"But it's not always that easy," I protested.

"Yes, it is," Jerry said "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice.You choose how you react to situations You choose how people will affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. It's your choice how you live your life.

"Several years later, I heard that Jerry accidentally did something you are never supposed to do in the restaurant business: left the back door of his restaurant open one morning and was robbed by three armed men. While trying to open the safe, his hand, shaking from nervousness slipped off the combination. The robbers panicked and shot him.

Luckily, Jerry was found quickly and rushed to the hospital.

After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Jerry was released fromthe hospital with fragments of the bullets still in his body. I saw Jerry aboutsix months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins. Want to see my scars?" I declined to see his wounds, but did ask him what had gone through his mind as the robbery took place.

"The first thing that went through my mind was that I should have locked the back door," Jerry replied. "Then, after they shot me, as I lay on the floor, Iremembered that I had twochoices: I could choose to live or choose to die. I chose to live.""Weren't you scared?" I asked.

Jerry continued, "The paramedics were great. They kept telling me. I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the Emergency Room and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read 'He's a dead man.' I knew I need to take action."

"What did you do?" I asked.

"Well, there was a big nurse shouting questions at me," said Jerry.

"She asked if I was allergic to anything."

'Yes,' I replied.

The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Bullets!' Over their laughter, I told them, 'I am choosing to live. Please operate on me as if I am alive, not dead'.

"Jerry lived thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude. I learned from him that every day you have the choice to either enjoy your life or to hate it. The only thing that is truly yours that no one can control or take from you is your attitude, so if you can take care of that, everything else in life becomes much easier.

Now you have two choices to make:

1. You can just close the browser now

THE ANT AND THE CONTACT LENSE

Brenda was a young woman who was invited to go rock climbing. Although she was scared to death, she went with her group to a tremendous granite cliff. In spite of her fear, she put on the gear, took a hold on the rope, and started up the face of that rock. Well, she got to a ledge where she could take a breather. As she was hanging on there, the safety rope snapped against Brenda's eye and knocked out her contact lens.

Well, here she is on a rock ledge, with hundreds of feet below her and hundreds of feet above her. Of course, she looked and looked and looked, hoping it had landed on the ledge, but it just wasn't there. Here she was, far from home, her sight now blurry. She was desperate and began to get upset, so she prayed to the Lord to help her to find it.

When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but there was no contact lens be found. She sat down, despondent, with the rest of the party, waiting for the rest of them to make it up the face of the cliff. She looked out across range after range of mountains, thinking of that Bible verse that says, "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth. "She thought, "Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and you know exile to the bottom.

At the bottom there was a new party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, "Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?" Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across the face of the rock, carrying it.

Brenda told me that her father is a cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a picture of an ant lugging that contact lens with the words, "Lord, I don't know why You want me to carry this thing. I can't eat it, and it's awfully heavy. But if this is what You want me to do, I'll carry it for You."

I think it would probably do some of us good to occasionally say,God, I don't know why you want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. But, if you want me to carry it, I will."

God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

Yes I do love GOD. He is my source of existence and my savior. He keeps me functioning each and every day. Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him I can do all things through GOD who strengthens me.

A very inspiring story I'd like to share, which tells a lot about our mindset about certain things and at times we just don't try to overcome from situation , coz we hve a mindset that we are not capable enough of doing it.

Perhaps I could retype the passage again."As my friend was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a rope tied to their legs. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime break away from ropes they were tied to but for some reason, they didnt. My friend saw a trainer nearby and asked why these beautiful, magnificent animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away.

"Well", he said, "when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and at that age, it's enough to hold them. As they grow up, they're conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free." My friend was amazed.

These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but they believed they couldn't, they were stuck right where they were. The powerful and gigantic creature has limited its present abilities by limitations of its past.

Like elephants, how many of us go through life holding onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before? How many of us refude to attempt something new and challenging cuz our so called MINDSET?"

The Back Seat Ghost

Mrs. Mabel Chinnery was visiting the grave of her mother one day in 1959. She had brought along her camera to take photographs of the gravesite. After snapping a few shots of her mother's gravestone, she took an impromptu photo of her husband, who was waiting alone in the car. At least the Chinnerys thought he was alone.

When the film was developed, the couple was more than surprised to see a figure wearing glasses sitting in the back seat of the car. Mrs. Chinnery immediately recognized the image of her mother – the woman whose grave they had visited on that day. A photographic expert who examined the print determined that the image of the woman was neither a reflection nor a double exposure. "I stake my reputation on the fact that the picture is genuine," he testified.

Brown lady

This portrait of "The Brown Lady" ghost is arguably the most famous and well-regarded ghost photograph ever taken. The ghost is thought to be that of Lady Dorothy Townshend, wife of Charles Townshend, 2nd Viscount of Raynham, residents of Raynham Hall in Norfolk, England in the early 1700s. It was rumored that Dorothy, before her marriage to Charles, had been the mistress of Lord Wharton. Charles suspected Dorothy of infidelity. Although according to legal records she died and was buried in 1726, it was suspected that the funeral was a sham and that Charles had locked his wife away in a remote corner of the house until her death many years later

This famous photo was taken in September, 1936 by Captain Provand and Indre Shira, two photographers who were assigned to photograph Raynham Hall for Country Life magazine. This is what happened, according to Shira:

"Captain Provand took one photograph while I flashed the light. He was focusing for another exposure; I was standing by his side just behind the camera with the flashlight pistol in my hand, looking directly up the staircase. All at once I detected an ethereal veiled form coming slowly down the stairs. Rather excitedly, I called out sharply: 'Quick, quick, there's something.' I pressed the trigger of the flashlight pistol. After the flash and on closing the shutter, Captain Provand removed the focusing cloth from his head and turning to me said: 'What's all the excitement about?'"

Upon developing the film, the image of The Brown Lady ghost was seen for the first time. It was published in the December 16, 1936 issue of Country Life. The ghost has been seen occasionally since.

Ghost in the Burning Building

On November 19, 1995, Wem Town Hall in Shropshire, England burned to the ground. Many spectators gathered to watch the old building, built in 1905, as it was being consumed by the flames. Tony O'Rahilly, a local resident, was one of those onlookers and took photos of the spectacle with a 200mm telephoto lens from across the street. One of those photos shows what looks like a small, partially transparent girl standing in the doorway. Nether O'Rahilly nor any of the other onlookers or firefighters recalled seeing the girl there.

Cemetery ghost baby

A woman named Mrs. Andrews was visiting the grave of her daughter in a cemetery in Queensland, Australia in 1946 or 1947. Her daughter Joyce had died about a year earlier, in 1945, at the age of 17. Mrs. Andrews saw nothing unusual when she took this photo of Joyce's gravemarker.

When the film was developed, Mrs. Andrews was astonished to see the image of a small child sitting happily at her daughter's grave. The ghost child seem to be aware of Mrs. Andrews since he or she is looking directly into the camera.

Specter of Newby Church

This photograph was taken in 1963 by Reverend K. F. Lord at Newby Church in North Yorkshire, England. It has been a controversial photo because it is just too good. The shrouded face and the way it is looking directly into the camera makes it look like it was posed – a clever double exposure. Yet supposedly the photo has been scrutinized by photo experts who say the image is not the result of a double exposure.

Decebal Hotel Ghost

Authorities have warned people to stay away from the Decebal Hotel -- because construction was taking place on the 150-year-old building. What they didn't warn people about was the ghost. The spirit of a tall woman in a long white frock has long been reported at the spa. The hotel in Romania is rumored to hide ancient Roman treasure, and the ghost, it is said, appears to protect it from treasure hunters.

Ghostly Grip in Phillipines

This interesting photo was taken sometime around the year 2000 in Manilla, Republic of the Philippines. According to The Ghost Research Society, two girlfriends were out for a walk one warm night. One of them entreated a passing stranger to photograph them using her cell phone's camera (hence the low-resolution picture). The result is shown here, with a transparent figure seeming to tug on the girl's arm with a firm if friendly grip.

Freddy Jackson

This intriguing photo, taken in 1919, was first published in 1975 by Sir Victor Goddard, a retired R.A.F. officer. The photo is a group portrait of Goddard's squadron, which had served in World War I at the HMS Daedalus training facility. An extra ghostly face appears in the photo. In back of the airman positioned on the top row, fourth from the left, can clearly be seen the face of another man. It is said to be the face of Freddy Jackson, an air mechanic who had been accidentally killed by an airplane propeller two days earlier. His funeral had taken place on the day this photograph was snapped. Members of the squadron easily recognized the face as Jackson's. It has been suggested that Jackson, unaware of his death, decided to show up for the group photo.

Madonna of Bachelor's Grove

This photo was taken during an investigation of Bachelor's Grove cemetery near Chicago by the Ghost Research Society (GRS). On August 10, 1991, several members of of the GRS were at the cemetery, a small, abandoned graveyard on the edge of the Rubio Woods Forest Preserve, near the suburb of Midlothian, Illinois. Reputed to be one of the most haunted cemeteries in the U.S., Bachelor's Grove has been the site of well over 100 different reports of strange phenomena, including apparitions, unexplained sights and sounds, and even glowing balls of light.

Grandpa's Ghost

This photo was received from Denise Russell. "The lady in the color photo is my granny," she says. "She lived on her own until age 94, when her mind started to weaken and had to be moved to an assisted living home for her own safety. At the end of the first week, there was a picnic for the residents and their families. My mother and sister attended. My sister took two pictures that day, and this is one of them. It was taken on Sunday, 8/17/97, and we think the man behind her is my grandpa who passed away on Sunday, 8/14/84.

Haunted Bureau

This early 20th Century photo of a beautiful Queen Anne style bureau was taken at the request of a furniture dealer by Montague Cooper, a well-known and respected photographer of the day. Cooper was at a loss, however, to explain the transparent hand that appears to rest near the top of the bureau. Is it the ghost of a previous owner who was reluctant to let it go?

Tewin Bury Farm Ghost

This amazing photo was taken by photographer and graphic designer Neil Sandbach in 2008. Neil was photographing some scenic shots at a farm Hertfordshire, England, as part of a project for wedding stationery; the couple planned to have their wedding ceremony held there.

Tulip Staircase Ghost

Rev. Ralph Hardy, a retired clergyman from White Rock, British Columbia, took this now-famous photograph in 1966. He intended merely to photograph the elegant spiral staircase (known as the "Tulip Staircase") in the Queen's House section of the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, England. Upon development, however, the photo revealed a shrouded figure climbing the stairs, seeming to hold the railing with both hands. Experts, including some from Kodak, who examined the original negative concluded that it had not been tampered with. It's been said that unexplained figures have been seen on occasion in the vicinity of the staircase, and unexplained footsteps have also been heard.

Ghosts of the SS Watertown

James Courtney and Michael Meehan, crew members of the S.S. Watertown, were cleaning a cargo tank of the oil tanker as it sailed toward the Panama Canal from New York City in December of 1924. Through a freak accident, the two men were overcome by gas fumes and killed. As was the custom of the time, the sailors were buried at sea off the Mexican coast on December 4.
But this was not the last the remaining crew members were to see of their unfortunate shipmates. The next day, before dusk, the first mate reported seeing the faces of the two men in the waves off the port side of the ship. They remained in the water for 10 seconds, then faded. For several days thereafter, the phantom-like faces of the sailors were clearly seen by other members of the crew in the water following the ship.

When the customer isn’t right – for your business

One woman who frequently flew on Southwest, was constantly disappointed with every aspect of the company’s operation. In fact, she became known as the “Pen Pal” because after every flight she wrote in with a complaint.

She didn’t like the fact that the company didn’t assign seats; she didn’t like the absence of a first-class section; she didn’t like not having a meal in flight; she didn’t like Southwest’s boarding procedure; she didn’t like the flight attendants’ sporty uniforms and the casual atmosphere.

Her last letter, reciting a litany of complaints, momentarily stumped Southwest’s customer relations people. They bumped it up to Herb’s [Kelleher, CEO of Southwest] desk, with a note: ‘This one’s yours.’

In sixty seconds, Kelleher wrote back and said, ‘Dear Mrs. Crabapple, We will miss you. Love, Herb.’”

The phrase “The customer is always right” was originally coined by Harry Gordon Selfridge, the founder of Selfridge’s department store in London in 1909, and is typically used by businesses to:

1. Convince customers that they will get good service at this company
2. Convince employees to give customers good service

Fortunately more and more businesses are abandoning this maxim – ironically because it leads to bad customer service.

Here are the top five reasons why “The customer is always right” is wrong.

1: It makes employees unhappy

Gordon Bethune is a brash Texan (as is Herb Kelleher, coincidentally) who is best known for turning Continental Airlines around “From Worst to First,” a story told in his book of the same title from 1998. He wanted to make sure that both customers and employees liked the way Continental treated them, so he made it very clear that the maxim “the customer is always right” didn’t hold sway at Continental.

In conflicts between employees and unruly customers he would consistently side with his people. Here’s how he puts it:

When we run into customers that we can’t reel back in, our loyalty is with our employees. They have to put up with this stuff every day. Just because you buy a ticket does not give you the right to abuse our employees . . .

We run more than 3 million people through our books every month. One or two of those people are going to be unreasonable, demanding jerks. When it’s a choice between supporting your employees, who work with you every day and make your product what it is, or some irate jerk who demands a free ticket to Paris because you ran out of peanuts, whose side are you going to be on?

You can’t treat your employees like serfs. You have to value them . . . If they think that you won’t support them when a customer is out of line, even the smallest problem can cause resentment.

So Bethune trusts his people over unreasonable customers. What I like about this attitude is that it balances employees and customers, where the “always right” maxim squarely favors the customer – which is not a good idea, because, as Bethune says, it causes resentment among employees.

Of course there are plenty of examples of bad employees giving lousy customer service. But trying to solve this by declaring the customer “always right” is counter-productive.

2: It gives abrasive customers an unfair advantage

Using the slogan “The customer is always right” abusive customers can demand just about anything – they’re right by definition, aren’t they? This makes the employees’ job that much harder, when trying to rein them in.

Also, it means that abusive people get better treatment and conditions than nice people. That always seemed wrong to me, and it makes much more sense to be nice to the nice customers to keep them coming back.

3: Some customers are bad for business

Most businesses think that “the more customers the better”. But some customers are quite simply bad for business.

Danish IT service provider ServiceGruppen proudly tell this story:

One of our service technicians arrived at a customer’s site for a maintenance task, and to his great shock was treated very rudely by the customer.

When he’d finished the task and returned to the office, he told management about his experience. They promptly cancelled the customer’s contract.

Just like Kelleher dismissed the irate lady who kept complaining (but somehow also kept flying on Southwest), ServiceGruppen fired a bad customer. Note that it was not even a matter of a financial calculation – not a question of whether either company would make or lose money on that customer in the long run. It was a simple matter of respect and dignity and of treating their employees right.

4: It results in worse customer service

Rosenbluth International, a corporate travel agency, took it even further. CEO Hal Rosenbluth wrote an excellent book about their approach called Put the customer second - Put your people first & watch'em kick butt.

Rosenbluth argues that when you put the employees first, they put the customers first. Put employees first, and they will be happy at work. Employees who are happy at work give better customer service because:

· They care more about other people, including customers
· They have more energy
· They are happy, meaning they are more fun to talk to and interact with
· They are more motivated

On the other hand, when the company and management consistently side with customers instead of with employees, it sends a clear message that:

· Employees are not valued
· That treating employees fairly is not important
· That employees have no right to respect from customers
· That employees have to put up with everything from customers

When this attitude prevails, employees stop caring about service. At that point, real good service is almost impossible – the best customers can hope for is fake good service. You know the kind I mean: corteous on the surface only.

5: Some customers are just plain wrong

Herb Kelleher agrees,

Herb Kelleher makes it clear that his employees come first — even if it means dismissing customers. But aren’t customers always right? “No, they are not,” Kelleher snaps. “And I think that’s one of the biggest betrayals of employees a boss can possibly commit. The customer is sometimes wrong. We don’t carry those sorts of customers. We write to them and say, ‘Fly somebody else. Don’t abuse our people.’”

If you still think that the customer is always right, read this story from Bethune’s book “From Worst to First”:

A Continental flight attendant once was offended by a passenger’s child wearing a hat with Nazi and KKK emblems on it. It was pretty offensive stuff, so the attendant went to the kid’s father and asked him to put away the hat. “No,” the guy said. “My kid can wear what he wants, and I don’t care who likes it.”

The flight attendant went into the cockpit and got the first officer, who explained to the passenger the FAA regulation that makes it a crime to interfere with the duties of a crew member. The hat was causing other passengers and the crew discomfort, and that interfered with the flight attendant’s duties. The guy better put away the hat.

He did, but he didn’t like it. He wrote many nasty letters. We made every effort to explain our policy and the federal air regulations, but he wasn’t hearing it. He even showed up in our executive suite to discuss the matter with me. I let him sit out there. I didn’t want to see him and I didn’t want to listen to him. He bought a ticket on our airplane, and that means we’ll take him where he wants to go. But if he’s going to be rude and offensive, he’s welcome to fly another airline.

The fact is that some customers are just plain wrong, that businesses are better of without them, and that managers siding with unreasonable customers over employees is a very bad idea, that results in worse customer service.

So put your people first. And watch them put the customers first.

4. Switch sides, bringing the right elbow towards the left knee.5. Continue alternating sides in a 'pedaling' motion.

1. Lie on floor and place hands on the floor or behind the head.

2. Bring the knees in towards the chest until they're bent to 90 degrees, with feet together or crossed.

3. Contract the abs to curl the hips off the floor, reaching the legs up towards the ceiling.

4. Lower and repeat for 12-16 reps.

5. It's a very small movement, so try to use your abs to lift your hips rather than swinging your legs and creating momentum.

Full Vertical Crunch 12- 16 Reps

1. Lie on your back and extend the legs up towards the ceiling.

2. Place hands behind your head (lightly cupping it) and contract the abs to lift the shoulder blades off the floor.

3. At the same time, press the heels towards the ceiling, creating a 'u' shape with the torso4. Lower down and repeat.

Plank on Elbows and Toes 3-5 Reps

1. Lie face down on mat resting on the forearms, palms flat on the floor.

2. Push off the floor, raising up onto toes and resting on the elbows.

3. Keep your back flat, in a straight line from head to heels.

4. Tilt your pelvis and contract your abdominals to prevent your rear end from sticking up in the air.

5. Hold for 20 to 60 seconds, lower.

A Story on Friendship

A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco.

"Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favor to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring home with me.

"Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him."

"There's something you should know," the son continued, "he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mind and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us."

"I'm sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live."

"No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us."

"Son," said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He'll find a way to live on his own."

At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide.

The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn't know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don't like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away from people who aren't as healthy, beautiful, or smart as we are.

Thankfully, there's someone who won't treat us that way. Someone who loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the forever family, regardless of how messed up we are.
Tonight, before you tuck yourself in for the night, say a little prayer that God will give you the strength you need to accept people as they are, and to help us all be more understanding of those who are different from us!!! There's a miracle called Friendship That dwells in the heart You don't know how it happens Or when it gets started But you know the special lift It always brings. And you realize that Friendship Is God's most precious gift!

Dear Patrick,

I was then an only child who had everything I could ever want. But even a pretty, spoiled and rich kid could get lonely once in a while so when Mom told me that she was pregnant, I was ecstatic. I imagined how wonderful you would be and how we'd always be together and how much you would look like me. So, when you were born, I looked at your tiny hands and feet and marveled at how beautiful you were.

We took you home and I showed you proudly to my friends. They would touch you and sometimes pinch you, but you never reacted. When you were five months old, some things began to bother Mom. You seemed so unmoving and numb, and your cry sounded odd --- almost like a kitten's. So we brought you to many doctors.

The thirteenth doctor who looked at you quietly said you have the "cry du chat" (pronounced Kree-do-sha) syndrome, "cry of the cat" in French.

When I asked what that meant, he looked at me with pity and softly said, "Your brother will never walk nor talk." The doctor told us that it is a condition that afflicts one in 50,000 babies, rendering victims severely retarded. Mom was shocked and I was furious. I thought it was unfair.

When we went home, Mom took you in her arms and cried. I looked at you and realized that word will get around that you're not normal. So to hold on to my popularity, I did the unthinkable ... I disowned you. Mom and Dad didn't know but I steeled myself not to love you as you grew. Mom and Dad showered you love and attention and that made me bitter. And as the years passed, that bitterness turned to anger, and then hate.

Mom never gave up on you. She knew she had to do it for your sake.

Everytime she put your toys down, you'd roll instead of crawl. I watched her heart break every time she took away your toys and strapped your tummy with foam so you couldn't roll. You struggle and you're cry in that pitiful way, the cry of the kitten. But she still didn't give up.
And then one day, you defied what all your doctors said -- you crawled.

When mom saw this, she knew you would eventually walk. So when you were still crawling at age four, she'd put you on the grass with only your diapers on knowing that you hate the feel of the grass on your skin.

Then she'd leave you there. I would sometimes watch from the windows and smile at your discomfort. You would crawl to the sidewalk and Mom would put you back. Again and again, Mom repeated this on the lawn. Until one day, Mom saw you pull yourself up and toddle off the grass as fast as your little legs could carry you.

Laughing and crying, she shouted for Dad and I to come. Dad hugged you crying openly.
I watched from my bedroom window this heartbreaking scene.

Over the years, Mom taught you to speak, read and write. From then on, I would sometime see you walk outside, smell the flowers, marvel at the birds, or just smile at no one. I began to see the beauty of the world through your eyes. It was then that I realized that you were my brother and no matter how much I tried to hate you, I couldn't, because I had grown to love you.
During the next few days, we again became acquainted with each other. I would buy you toys and give you all the love that a sister could ever give to her brother. And you would reward me by smiling and hugging me.

But I guess, you were never really meant for us. On your tenth birthday, you felt severe headaches. The doctor's diagnosis --leukemia. Mom gasped and Dad held her, while I fought hard to keep my tears from falling. At that moment, I loved you all the more. I couldn't even bear to leave your side. Then the doctors told us that your only hope is to have a bonemarrow transplant. You became the subject of a nationwide donor search. When at last we found the right match, you were too sick, and the doctor reluctantly ruled out the operations. Since then, you underwent chemotherapy and radiation.

Even at the end, you continued to pursue life. Just a month before you died, you made me draw up a list of things you wanted to do when you got out of the hospital. Two days after the list was completed, you asked the doctors to send you home. There, we ate ice cream and cake, run across the grass, flew kites, went fishing, took pictures of one another and let the balloons fly. I remember the last conversation that we had. You said that if you die, and if I need of help, I could send you a note to heaven by tying it on the string of any balloon and letting it fly. When you said this, I started crying. Then you hugged me. Then again, for the last time, you got sick.
That last night, you asked for water, a back rub, a cuddle. Finally, you went into seizure with tears streaming down your face. Understanding the Stock Market

Many people look to the stock market to enhance their hard-earned money more and more each year. Some people are not even aware of their investments, because they can come in the form of pensions with their place of employment. The company invests this money in efforts to increase your retirement funds. In order to fully understand what is happening with your money, you should understand how the investments work.

The stock market is an avenue for investors who want to sell or buy stocks, shares or other things like government bonds. Every day a list is produced that includes indexes or companies and how they are performing on the market. An index will be compromised of a special list of certain companies,

A share is a small portion of a PIC (public limited company), owning one of these shares will give you many rights. For example, you will gain a portion of the profits and growth that the company experiences, additionally you will obtain occasional accounts and reports from the chosen company. Another exciting feature of owning a share of a company is the fact that you are given the right to vote in various aspects of what happens with the company.

Once you purchase a share of a company you will receive something called a share certificate, this will be your proof of ownership.( however most of trading now a days is thru internet and you receive digitally signed contract from your broker ) This certificate will contain the total value of the share, this will likely not be the price that is listed upon the exchange and is specifically for reasons of a legal matter. This will not affect the current value the share currently holds on the market.

Typically, as a shareholder, you will receive your profit in the form of a dividend; these are paid on a twice per year basis. The way this works is if the company makes a profit, you will as well and on the opposite end of this spectrum if they do not make a profit, neither will you. If a company does extremely well their value increases, which means the value of the share you own will as well. If you should decide to sell your share, you will only benefit from it, if the company has experienced growth.

The sensex upward movements...... will it last?

In my opinion there are few factors which will help in maintaining the upward momentum in spite of all the hue & cry of global recession & weak market trends in US market.

UPA stable government for next five years has done it all. All of us are aware of how market had responded with a 2100 points jump in a single day to the newly elected Congress led UPA.

Always play safe and invest in stocks which are active counters with high volumes.

Try to figure out the 52 week high n low of a stock and accordingly judge the correct time to purchase.

If a stock is already at its high then the upward movement of stock will be primarily because of its profits and any latest news attached to it. For ex – during rail budget, one can normally observe the upward movement of industries related to rail. Similarly if a stock is at its 52 week low, then also we need to be careful in buying such stock as they can decline further, resulting in loss.

Always study the market trend and go with the flow.

Do your complete study of fundamentals, graphs, 52 wek high-n-low & related news before buying any stock.

. Share market not always gives profit.

Day trading can be risky and addictive too, always do paper trading before entering into day trading. It’s a big myth people carry, that one can take home at least 5% of whatever amount he/she will invest by the end of the day. Its not practical unless and until you are doing it full time with in depth knowledge of graphs and entry and exit points.

The less greedy you will be the more profit you will earn.

Stay away from bogus companies, which claim for 500% return out of your capital in a month.

Either be a long term investor or be a short term. For long term choose wisely the co. with outstanding growth and strong fundamentals. See the graph and make sure they are growing co’s.

For small term investor, you will have to study market very closely and the related news. One can earn great profits (25% – 30%) in two to three months time.

Always stick to stop loss and target profit range.

Maintain portfolio wisely. Never invest the entire amount in one single stock or in one sector.

Short term strategy - If xx stock is currently at 100 and you have a capital of 10000, then better invest half only with a stop loss figure around 95-96 ( meaning that if the stock go lower then 95, better exit from it) and target of 125-140 ( meaning once the stock reaches 125-140 range , better book profit and exit).

Long term - But if you know the fundamentals of co, and sure of it going further, then better remain invested for long term and in future when it dips down below 95, then repurchase to average it out. Remember profits in long term are always outstanding. A stock can move from 10 to 200 in a year’s time.

Always keep at least 15% cash. Invest this in fundamentally strong companies which become available at cheap rates during crashes.

Invest a fixed sum regularly. It is called SIP, (Systematic Investment Plan). It may be weekly/monthly or yearly or any fixed number of days.

Share market not always go upwards, it crashes when it’s overpriced. Foreign investors and local operators play a major role. Always look for what mutual fund companies are buying and what they are dumping.

Stock price movement is just more than a simple graph. Fundamental analysis helps you to identify potential winners which can be multibaggers. Technical analysis helps you time the markets. If you are a long term investor, Fundamentals play a more important tool. If you are a short term trader, Technical analysis, news, rumors play a more important role.

Last but not the least, make some rules before entering into share market and stick to those rules.

There is enough money for everyone, but be smart and only invest in co’s with sound fundamentals.

Ø Be on time! Practice getting to the venue to see how long it will take. Public transport may be useless, the traffic may have been heavy, but however reasonable it won't affect the fact that your chances are reduced if you are late. Always remember - You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
Ø Be Prepared! Look at the employers' website and learn something about the company before you attend your interview. Feed them the opportunity to talk proudly about something positive you have found.
Ø Aim to be early - you can always find a nearby cafe/shop/pub to wait in. And if worst comes to worst and you are going to be late, then definitely ring in and let them know.
Ø Write down and practice possible questions! Writing them down and practicing them with someone will make it easier to remember when you get to the interview. Use the third person when talking about the job. Avoid sounding as though you assume the job is yours.
Ø It is fine to ask about the package on offer and accommodation - living in and living out are particularly relevant. Don't forget to find out if the company will guarantee a resort or chalet - many will only allocate you a country. You could also try a fewer more testing questions such as how they differentiate themselves from their competitors or what they think the toughest/hardest part of the job is.
Ø What are your weaknesses? Try to find an area of your experience/skill that is currently lacking. An interviewer will appreciate your can do attitude - as long as whatever you disclose can be easily remedied.
Ø You never get a second chance to make a first impression! SMILE! Dress professionally in simple business attire. Just because you are going to be working in a ski resort does not mean you should wear Oakleys and a fleece to your interview. And don't forget that firm handshake and to maintain eye contact - without glaring!
Ø Be honest! There really is no point lying about your background and/or skills. If you get caught, or even manage to get out to resort and then get found out, you can be sure you won't be around for long! Job interviews are about matching needs - if there isn't a good match, then chances are that the job won't work out.
Ø Check your CV for possible gaps! Make sure you know how you are going to explain time gaps on your CV.
Ø Talk about specific achievements! Interviewers like to know how you felt about about a particular success. Some will ask for specific examples of things you've done that you're particularly proud of; how you solved problems; how you learned - and improved - from difficult situations.
Ø Don't talk too much! Spud again - Communication is a two-way thing so give them a chance
Ø Prepare a sample menu plan! If you are applying for a catering job then take along a sample menu plan. By this we mean a starter/main/dessert combination over six days, ideally with a vegetarian option. Think about the balance of nutrients and how the colours will look on the plate.
Ø Take a spare photo & CV with you! Your interviewer won't be expecting it so you will impress them. It also helps them remember you after the interview.
Ø Be enthusiastic and positive! Don't criticize previous employers, particularly within the industry. Focus on positive achievements and views.
Ø Be on time!
Ø And finally, Don't give up! The fact is that you will not be offered every job however perfect you think you may be for it. Usually it's because the interviewer was completely blind to the talent that stood before them. However, just on the off chance that it was not, feedback from interviews where you have been turned down can be invaluable for improving future results. Ask politely if they can give you any feedback for the future - there's a job out there for you somewhere.

My encounter & exposure to such articles is not new, as it attracts me.As if you are sitting in a dark room happily from long and now when you have seen the very first ray of light, you can't control yourself and stepping towards it. It makes you feel that you were living from so long, parallel to a diffrent world altogether. It's not about achieving, it's about realization and feeling it.
